VENUE LOCATION: All Saints Church is attached to the Oval Community Centre close to the eastern end of the Oval shopping precinct near the bus stops and car parks. There is a large car park behind the church/community centre which can be entered by car from Vardon Road. The entrance to the meeting area is at the back of the church, but there is also a more wheelchair accessible entrance at the front of the community centre, which can be opened by a member from inside upon request. The venue and meeting area can be difficult to find the first time, so please read the information below. MEETING LOCATION WITHIN THE VENUE: The entrance to the meeting is through a pair of tall black metal gates in front of a short alley coming off the large car park behind the church. Go through the gates, walk up seven long steps, through a single black metal gate at the top, through the door, across the church hall, and past the lectern to the circle of chairs with candles in the middle. PARKING: The closest car park is directly behind the church and can ONLY be entered from Vardon Road. SG1 5RD is the correct postcode, but satnavs may direct you to nearby Jessop Road. Instead, stay on Vardon Road, and DO NOT turn into Jessop Road. Look out for a pair of blue and white one-way arrows on Vardon Road and enter through these into the one-way loop. You'll pass a small car park with disabled bays on your left and a bus shelter on your right as you go straight ahead through another pair of one-way arrows into the large car park. Parking is free at all times. BUS: from Stevenage Bus or Railway Station, take service 2, 3 or 7 and alight at Pin Green The Oval Centre. Walk through to the large car park and find the black metal gates as directed above. TAXI: from Stevenage Railway Station takes 6 minutes. WALKING: 45-minutes from Stevenage Railway or Bus Station. WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: Please call or email before attending so we can open the more accessible sliding glass doorway opposite the Chinese takeaway. It's a longer distance to the meeting area from this entrance, but it doesn't involve any steps. One of the members will be happy to guide you through the community centre to the meeting area in the church.
